Priscilla Jayne (Koller) Smith, 73, passed away Sunday, April 29, 2018, at her home in Pueblo West, CO. Her unwavering Catholic faith, will to live, infectious positive attitude, and love of family and friends gave her the strength to valiantly fight breast cancer for 17 years.
Priscilla graduated from Pueblo Catholic High School in 1963, and attended Southern Colorado State College (CSU-Pueblo). She was a member of Beta Sigma Sorority, was very active in her church, Our Lady of Lourdes in Beulah, CO and supported many charitable causes. Also known as the “Cookie Lady”, Priscilla loved to bake and many people in her life looked forward to receiving her delicious gifts. She also sent cards for every occasion to all of the special people who touched her life.
Her favorite jobs were working with her father at Walter’s Brewing Company, counselor’s secretary at Central High School and office manager at George McCarthy’s Funeral Home.
Priscilla is survived by daughters, Wendy (David) James, Kendra (Guy) Smith; Sisters, Maryellen (Gary) Mencimer, Kathleen (Jim) Curtis; Grandchildren, Craig and Shelby James; Brothers-in- Law, Kevin (Linda) Smith, Dennis (Cindy) Smith; Sister-in-Law, Anita Cardinaly; Nieces and Nephews, Jeff (Stefani) Curtis, Julie (Stu) Seltz, Carl and Sean Smith, Janine (Pepe) Sanchez, Brian (Heather) Smith, Dylan (Cassie) Smith, Shawna Smith; Great Nephews, Tommy and Peyton Sanchez, Jax Curtis and Bryson Smith; Great Nieces, Ella and Marin Seltz, Abbey Smith; adopted mom, Bernice Krasovec; and adopted Grandson, Brandon Summer.
Preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, John Patrick Smith; parents, Edmund and Harriett Koller; In-Laws, Fred and Mary Kay Smith; Sister, Elizabeth Reyes; and Brother-in-law, Richard Reyes.
