Margaret Emilia Tafoya, 93, born August 13, 1923 passed away September 26, in Castle Rock Colorado. Margaret was a devoted wife, mother and Grandmother. Her life and career revolved around her family. Sher was a servant to everyone. Margaret loved to sing and dance as she did late into her 70s. Her hobbies revolved around the family. She loved to cook and her home was always a place of solace and love. Margaret was deeply devoted to her faith and devotion to the Lord Jesus and the Father, God. Margaret was married to her lifelong companion and husband Dan Tafoya. Together they had 23 Grandchildren and over 70 Grandchildren included all of the Great Grandchildren. They’re legacy will never be forgotten. Margaret and Dan were active members of Holy Family Catholic Church and served as a member of the Women’s Auxiliary of the Knights of Columbus and The Fraternal Order of Eagles #145. Margaret was preceded in death by this son Ronald Tafoya, Son-in-law Ray Medina and all her siblings, Louis, Annie, Amos, Andy, Joe, and Jennie. Margaret’s immediate surviving family includes her children Shirley Medina, Joan Espinoza, Dan (Nancy) Tafoya Jr., Sandy Tafoya, Robert Tafoya, Michael (Sharon) Tafoya and Diane Bess. Margaret’s extended family includes her grandchildren, great, and great-great grandchildren. Margaret is also survived by two sisters-in-law, Dorothy Montoya and Rebecca (Matthew) Lopez. The family wishes to thank Carla and Dignity Memorial, all of the staff of Bonaventure Senior Living in Castle Rock. They became part of our family providing support, love, and encouragement during Margaret’s last 17 months..
