Marcos Velasquez, 85, passed away on Saturday, September 10, 2022. Born on November 16,1936 in Pueblo, Colorado, he was the son of Marcos and Felicitas Velasquez. He attended Pueblo Centennial High School and worked at Dana Corporation for 37 years before retiring in March of 1996. He was an active member of St. Joseph Catholic church. He had a strong dedication to his Faith and his family. He enjoyed
sports, especially the local teams, college basketball (March Madness) and the Denver Broncos. He was
the husband of Lupe Velasquez for over 62 years and the father of three sons, John Velasquez, David (Jo) Velasquez, and Thomas (Gloria) Velasquez. He was the grandfather to Nathaniel Velasquez and
the great grandfather to Mia and Sofia Rae. He is survived by his siblings Dolores, Nick (Rosanne), Jennifer, Joe, Inez (Robert) and Peter. He is preceded in death by his parents along with one brother, three sisters and five in-laws. He is also preceded in death by three granddaughters: Elena, Raquel and Annamarie. The viewing will be held on Monday, September 26th from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the T.G. McCarthy Funeral home located at 329 Goodnight Avenue in Pueblo. The Rosary will be held on Tuesday, September 27th at 9:15 AM followed by the Catholic funeral Mass at 10:00 AM. The services will be held at Saint Joseph Catholic Church located at 1145 South Aspen Road followed by interment at Roselawn Cemetery.
