Lewis E. (Gene) Wells, born 7/14/1928, passed away 1/62015. Preceded in death by parents Sam & Mabel, wife Ruth, brothers Paul and Charlie. Gene lived and farmed in the Boone area for 70 years. He served in the US Navy and was honorably discharged in 1949. He retired from the CF&I corporation after 31 years. He is survived by 3 daughters Cathy, Kaye (Dennis) McKenna and Nancy (Nick) Brown and son Blair (Terry). He has 12 grandchildren, and several great grandchildren. He is survived by Ruth's sons and their families. On Saturday, Jan. 10, a viewing will be at 9:00 am followed by a service at 10:00 am at Imperial Funeral Home. Interment to follow at Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
