Jose "Joe" Emilio Montoya

Jose “Joe” Emilio Montoya, 89, passed away October 6, 2024 in Pueblo, Colorado. He was born in Wagon Mound, New Mexico; he was the son of Jose and Rose Montoya. He worked at the Air Force Academy, where he retired after twenty eight years of service.

Joe enjoyed working on cars, visiting family and friends, and sharing jokes.

He is survived by his sister Virginia Cano, brother Joseph (Thelma) Montoya, and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father Jose Montoya, mother Rose Montoya, brothers Desi Montoya, Rufino Montoya, and Johnny Montoya, and his longtime companion Carol Morton.

Joe will be greatly missed by all who knew him

Funeral Service for Joe will be held on Wednesday, October 16, 2024 at 10am at Imperial Funeral Home, with committal service to follow.
