Celebrating the life of John Philip (Jack) Holeman who suddenly entered his eternal rest on January 30, 2024. He was 73. He was born on January 12, 1951. He grew up and lived most of his life in Jacksonville, Florida.
He had a beautiful singing voice and started several bands. He also was a very talented musician, composer, arranger, and songwriter, writing numerous compositions. His favorite instruments were guitars and keyboards, but he was not limited to just those instruments. He got a MIDI keyboard which allowed him to compose orchestral music. During the Vietnam war, he tried unsuccessfully to enlist, so he and his band performed at the five local military bases.
He eventually left Jacksonville, and with a friend walked through several western states, making friends in Montana, Utah, and Arizona. One of those friends eventually became his wife.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John W. and Rosina Holeman. He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Melody Holeman, two stepdaughters, Miriam Pierucci and Esther Dail, all from Pueblo, Colorado, a sister, Kathleen Allen in Florida, a nephew, Alexander Allen in Georgia, and many friends.
No funeral or graveside service is planned.
