Henry “Norm” Norman Williams, age 84, passed away peacefully at his home with his family around him on October 30, 2024. Norman is preceded in death by his wife Jan Keller-Williams; parents Henry and Rose Williams. Sisters Ruth Williams, Betty (Bud) Comfort; Brothers Henry and Raymond Williams. Niece Leanne Williams; and numerous family members.
He is survived by Christopher (Jenifer) Williams, Simonette (Ted) Garcia and Henry (Toni) Williams; seven grandchildren: Theo (Taylor) Garcia, Samantha Garcia, Attison (Cris) Nunez, Cassidy (Wyatt) Garcia, Zeke Williams, Reileigh (Liam) Pollington, Heather (Dan) Briggs. Nine great grandchildren: Hailey Jo Medrano, Caden Garcia, Luca Garcia, Mason Nobiensky, Theo James Garcia, Nico Nunez, Daniel Briggs, Elli Briggs and Nehemiah Nunez. He is also survived by his brother, Robert (JoAnne) Williams, and sister, Sandi (Jim) Cardinal. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Norman was born and raised on the Mesa. He was a long time resident and farmer. He helped run the farm and the Williams Seed Store along with his brother and sisters. He loved working in the family store. He enjoyed talking to the customers that came to the store to buy seeds and plants. He would give them all kinds of advice on how to plant their gardens in the spring. He worked for 30 years with Safeway and ended up in management. Norman was also in the Army and the Air Force Reserves for six years.
Norman was very proud of his Italian heritage. He was a charter member of the Sons of Italy. Southern Colorado Lodge #2738. He volunteered numerous activities especially the 50/50 raffle-his favorite. Norman was also named “Italian Citizen the Year” in 2019. Norman’s greatest joy, love and pride was his family-especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He always had a smile on his face whenever they came around.
The family would like to thank the staff of Sangre De Cristo Hospice and Parkview Hospital (4 East) for all their loving care and help that they gave to him.
A visitation for Norm will be held Wednesday, November 13, 2024 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM. A rosary will occur Thursday, November 14, 2024 at 1:20 PM at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 1145 S Aspen Rd, Pueblo, Colorado 81006. A funeral mass will occur Thursday, November 14, 2024 at 2:00 PM at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 1145 S Aspen Rd, Pueblo, Colorado 81006.
