Helen Marie O'Connor

Helen Marie O’Connor was born, in the Bronx, NY, to Eugene and Helen O’Connor on December 18, 1951, and was called home by the Lord on January 3, 2022. She is survived by her brother Frank O’Connor (Fina), her sisters Agnes Kelly (Stephen) and Cathie Brady (Micky), 12 nieces and nephews, as well as many grandnieces and grandnephews. She was preceded by her lifelong companion Gail Wall, her brother Eugene O’Connor, and sister Mary Graziosa. Helen leaves behind her bearded collie, Prim, whom she loved dearly. Helen was an outstanding math teacher for many years in Pueblo and Colorado Springs schools. She ended her career at Harrison high school in Colorado Springs. Helen loved working with Prim. She taught scent classes for the kennel club and enjoyed taking Prim to competitions. She was so proud of the work Prim did. Helen will be missed greatly by her family and friends. The family would also like to thank Helen’s neighbors Sara and Alan for their kindness, love, and devotion to Helen. Memorial donations in lieu of flowers may be made to St. Joseph’s church or the southern Colorado Kennel Club in Helen’s honor. A time of sharing will be held Monday, January 24 from 2-4pm at TG McCarthy Funeral Home. A funeral mass will be held Tuesday January 25 at 10am at St Joseph Catholic Church
