Born in Harrison, Arkansas, he was the son of Richard and Linnie Ruff. He graduated from Sylvan Hills High School. Wayne served as a pastor for 54 years.
He was a member of Banner Missionary Baptist Church. Wayne enjoyed hunting, fishing, and traveling. He will be remembered for his love and service to his community.
Wayne is survived by his loving wife Shirley Ruff; his children Tony (Sherry) Ruff of Pueblo, Colorado, Tammy (Gerald) Espinoza of Pueblo West, Colorado, and Priscilla (Roger) Ayres of Lancaster, Kentucky; his grandchildren Zach Espinoza, Larissa Espinoza, Faith (Jaime) Patterson, Luke (Katy) Ayres, Cody (Bri) Ruff, Jacob Ayres, Jonathan Espinoza, and Alex (Emily) Ayres; 13 great grandchildren; his sisters Gwen Schwartz and Connie (Joe) Cecil; and his brother David (Carol) Ruff.
Wayne was preceded in passing by his parents Richard and Linnie Ruff; his siblings Ardy Ruff, Emily Harness, Doris Ruff, Arlin Ruff, G.T. Ruff, Birdie June Ruff, Jr. Ruff; and his granddaughter Stacy Ruff.
A visitation will be held Tuesday, June 18, 2024 at 10am at Imperial Funeral Home Chapel with funeral service to follow at 11am. Wayne will be laid to rest at Imperial Memorial Gardens Cemetery, in the Garden of Faith, following his funeral service.
