Dolores “Dee” Lavine was born October 7th, 1959 in Pueblo, CO and passed away unexpectedly on July 28th, 2021. Dee devoted her life to family and enjoyed crafting, thrifting, baking and making the holidays extra special for her family. Especially Halloween and Christmas. Dee was a precise planner, making sure everything was coordinated and matched the holiday theme perfectly. From the tableware, to the decorations, to her excellent homemade desserts. Dee was very creative and had a keen eye for DIY. She was extremely proud of her backyard beach “she-shed” which her father and mother helped her build. Dee was a small business owner who spent over 35 years caring for people with disabilities. It was a great joy in her life and she loved to make sure her clients had the very best care and felt like they were part of the family. Dee will be deeply missed by her family, friends and all who knew her.
Dee is preceded in death by her father Arthur G. Lucero and brother Art Lucero Jr. Dee is survived by her mother Viola Lucero; her husband Thomas Lavine; children; Jesse Jordan, Steve (Erica) Jordan, Cecil Lavine, Katelen Holloway, Austin (Bri) Lavine, and Victoria Lavine. Dee is especially proud of her 8 grandchildren whom she loved dearly; Mikayla, Trevor, Miley, Paisley, Emma, Mila, Evan, and Luka.
She is also survived by her sister Debbie (Mark) Gurule, her brother Steve Lucero, nieces and nephews; Taylor Gurule, Marcus Gurule, Brooke Lucero, Hannah Lucero, Jeg Lucero, Art Lucero III, Marisa Lucero, Anthony Lucero and Daniel Lucero, Mother- in- law; Bernadette T, Diaz, Brothers- in- law; Ted (Arlene) and Tim Martinez.
Per her wishes, a private graveside service will be held.
