Bernice “Berna” Hurtado, 79, passed away May 9, 2013. She is survived by her children, Sharon (Tom) Gallegos and Tim (Brenda) Hurtado; 5 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandson; brothers, Leroy and Elmer Chavez; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. Berna was a member of the Eagles and loved making jewelry. Memorial Mass 2pm Tuesday, May 14, 2013 at St. Mary Church in Walsenburg. Donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
