Anna Marie Wheeler (Heddleston) passed away on Tuesday, December 6, 2022. Anna was born in Sugar City, Colorado, attended school in Horatio Arkansas; De Queen, Arkansas; and graduated in 1955 from Central High School in Pueblo. Anna and Wilburn were married for 46 years while raising 4 kids. She worked many odd jobs but really enjoyed her 16 years at the Transportation Test Center. Anna was an avid Rockies fan and loved going to Grand Junction to attend the Junior College Baseball World Series (JUCO). It was not unusual for her to travel anywhere (including Canada) to watch a baseball game. Anna also loved to bowl and would attend national bowling events around the country.
She is survived by her son, Brian Wheeler (Janet); daughter, Brenda Hintz (Ray); grandchildren - Brandy Hanna (Eric); Brian Ken Wheeler (Katie); Keith Leech (Nicole); Laurice Curtiss (Jack); Daniel Hintz; David Hintz (Cheyenne); great-grandchildren – Jaycee Hanna, Kacee Hanna, and Lacee Hanna; Addie Curtiss, Kenzie Curtiss, Evie Curtiss; Austin Leech, Brenden Leech, and Aspen Leech; daughters-in-law Terri Monroe-Wheeler, Michelle Dalrymple (Robert). Anna is preceded in death by her parents, Jim and Anna Heddleston; brother James Robert Heddleston; husband, Wilburn; two sons, Bret and Bruce; and great-grandson, Jameson.
She was blessed with many friends and family who brought great joy to her life. Thank you to everyone who enriched her life in some small or great way. She loved people. We’ll miss you, Mom.
