Thomas Ray McGrath

Born in Providence, he was the son of the late John and Hope (Tillman) McGrath; husband of Anna (Castrignano) McGrath; father of Karen Nadeau and her husband Jerry, Mark and Kurt McGrath; grandfather of Eric Nadeau and his wife Andrea, Shawn McGrath, and Andrew Nadeau; brother of Margaret Del Prete, Dolores Bolandz, and the late Helena Prohaska, John McGrath, and Flora Nelson.

Thomas was a Trustee Officer for the V.F.W North Providence Lymansville Post 10011. He worked for the Union Steel Workers and served as past Union President with the Gorham Company. Thomas was a veteran of the United States Army, having served in the Korean War as a Medic. He was a devoted husband to Anna for over 62 Years.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, 5-7 p.m. with funeral services Wednesday at 9 a.m. from the PONTARELLLI-MARINO Home, 971 Branch Avenue, Providence. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. in St. Thomas Church, 65 Fruit Hill Ave, Providence, followed by burial in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Thomas Church Food Pantry, 65 Fruit Hill Avenue, Providence, RI 02920.
