She was the wife of the late Roger Derderian. Born in Istanbul, Turkey, she was a daughter of the late Artaki and Annika (Sarafian) Tikiryan.
Sue was the loving mother of John Derderian and Anita Bongiardo, and the cherished grandmother of Justin, Elizabeth and Michaela. She was the sister of the late Onnik Tikiryan.
Sue was an avid gardener and homemaker, and enjoyed her time with her children and grandchildren. She also worked in the printing field for a number of years. She was a member of the Women’s Guild at the Sts. Sahag and Mesrob Church, and volunteered at many events. She was an expert in sewing and knitting.
Visitation will be held Thursday from 10-11 a.m. followed by her funeral service at 11 a.m. in Sts. Sahag and Mesrob Armenian Apostolic Church, 70 Jefferson Street, Providence. Graveside burial will follow in North Burial Ground, Providence. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Sts.
