Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Edward J. and Ada F. (Selwyn) Lynch.
Steve worked as a copy operator for Nixon Peabody Law Firm for many years before his retirement. In his spare time Steve was an avid New England sports fan, always dressed in his Red Sox, Patriots, and Celtics gear. He enjoyed playing darts on Sheldon Street, listening to the Beatles, and watching the ball game at Elmhurst Pub with his wife Maxine, and many close friends. He will be missed by all who knew him.
In addition to his wife, he leaves two sisters, Eileen M. Miller, and Robin A. DiMeo, a brother Edward J. Lynch, a brother in law, Norman Forcier, four grandchildren, Cassandra, Mark Jr., Jason, & Dante, and four great grandchildren, Mateo "Mickey", Jason, Naya, & Kasius, as well as many nieces and nephews.
He was the brother of the late JoAnne E. Forcier, and step father of the late Mark Smith.
Steve’s visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 27 at 10:00 am in the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 331 Smith Street, Providence. A funeral service will begin at noontime. Interment will be private.
