Rita V. McCullough (Zona) 76, of Providence, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, August 25, 2014 surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of Edward A. “Teddy” McCullough. They were married for 30 years. Born in Central Falls, she was the daughter of the late Alphonse and Helen Zona. Rita was employed as a jewelry worker at Monet Jewelry for many years, retiring in 2000. She loved cooking and spending time with her family. Besides her husband, Rita is survived by her son, Gerald Hanner, of West Warwick, many brothers and sisters, three grandchildren, and one great grandchild. Rita’s funeral will be held Friday, August 29, 2014 at 8:45 am, from the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 331 Smith Street, Providence. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am, in Saint Casimir Church, 350 Smith Street, Providence, to which relatives and friends are invited. Burial will be private.
