He was the son of the late Alli and Mary (Blondel) Quattrocchi; brother of Robert, William (Dolores) and Anthony Quattrocchi, Jean Ribezzo, Marilyn McNeil and the late Alfred Quattrocchi. He also leaves many nieces and nephews and many lifetime loyal friends.
Dick was a successful real estate investor in Las Vegas for many years until his illness forced him to return to RI eight years ago. Prior to his moving there, Dick was boxing’s “New England Light Heavyweight Champion” and a national contender. He also owned investment properties and a business. During the mid 1950’s Dick was a member of the Mount Pleasant’s championship football team as an outstanding all state running back. Years later he was honored to be inducted into the Providence Grid Iron Club Hall of Fame.
Visitation will be held Thursday, 4-7 p.m. with his funeral service on Friday at 10 a.m. from the PONTARELLI-MARINO Home, 971 Branch Avenue, Providence. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. in St. Ann Church, 280 Hawkins Street, Providence, followed by burial in Highland Memorial Park, Johnston.
