He was the beloved husband of the late Rose (Cardi) Kaiser.
Richard was the kind, gentle and loving father of his 3 children, the late Carol Allbee and her husband Edward, his daughter Joanne McGregor and her husband Peter and his daughter Kathleen Longley and her husband Joseph. He was very proud and grateful for his 9 Grandchildren, 20 Great-Grandchildren and 1 Great Great Grandchild. Throughout his life he was never more than an arms length away from his family, always there as the loving foundation from which greatness is born. His sweet and gentle ways will live on in all of us.
Richard was born in Plymouth, MA, in 1916, and at a very young age moved to Providence, RI. Meeting and Marrying Rose in the 1930s and when the Great World War began, he felt his calling with the Navy. Proudly joining the SeaBees In their Naval Construction Brigade, he traveled the South Pacific, solidifying his position in some of the most memorable battles of the 20th century. When he returned from service and He became the loving father we all knew, and joined production at WJ Lynch Paint which furthered his keen eye for precision. In his retirement and well into his 80's, he worked part time as a driver for Westcott Bakery, making friends, staying close to his family and enjoying the RedSox (Lifelong Fan). He was also a lifetime member of the American Legion Post #43.
Never a man to sit still. He was a well organized, humble, gentle soul and he will be terribly missed by his family.
