Phyllis A. Cunningham

SmithfieldPhyllis Anne Cunningham, 63, of Smithfield, joined her family in heaven on November 14, 2009. She was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Joseph E. Cunningham, Sr.; a son, Theodore A. Cunningham; her mother and stepfather, Ruth E. and Lloyd W. Scheusner, and a brother, Kenneth A. Sinkey. Phyllis leaves behind her son, Joseph E. Cunningham, Jr. (Lisa) of West Jordan, UT; two daughters: Tracey Van Meter (Robert) of Spencer, MA, and Nicole Cunningham of No. Scituate, RI; as well as four grandchildren: Savahnna, Brianne, Heather and J.D. She also leaves a sister, Pauline Chow Hoon of Pacific Grove, CA, and a stepbrother, Dave Scheusner of Columbia Heights, MN. Before moving to RI last year, Phyllis lived in Crooked River Ranch, OR, and Sandy, UT. She was born and raised in Monterey, CA. She leaves many special friends on both coasts and in-between. She was a talented quilter, knitter, cross-stitcher and all-around seamstress - she could never pass up a good fabric sale. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, at 10:00 am, in Saint Patrick Church, 244 Smith Street, Providence, to which relatives and friends are invited.
