Maureen Martin

Maureen was the loving mother of Carleen McCoy and her husband Bob and Steven Martin. Grandmother of Justin McCoy and his wife Kathy and great-grandmother of Francis.

She was the sister of Beverly Morgan and her husband Ted of North Carolina and the late Virginia Royle, and sister-in-law of Francis Martin and the late Mr. and Mrs. Vincent Martin.

She also leaves nieces Deone, Denise, and Debbie and nephews Eddie, Thomas, and David and their families.

Maureen worked at Merit Plating and then Curtis Manufacturing until her retirement.

Maureen was a devoted and loving mother with strong values and Catholic faith, which she instilled in her children. She was hopeful, kind, and sweet, and much stronger than she realized. She cared about people and was loved very much.

Word search puzzles, reading, going for rides to the waterfront, bowling, and spending time with family were things Maureen enjoyed. She loved parakeets, especially her pets Chipper, Denny, and Corey whom she owned throughout the years that brought her much joy and she made the best Graham Cracker Chocolate Pudding pie!

Funeral services and visitation will be held Thursday, October 17, 2024 from 9:30 – 10:30 am in the Pontarelli-Marino Home, 971 Branch Avenue, Providence followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am in St. Edward Church, 997 Branch Avenue, Providence. Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
