Marlene Hope Russo

PROVIDENCE - RUSSO, Marlene, 72, of Veazie Street, died Monday at home. She was the beloved wife of Vito F. Russo. They had been married for 54 years.Born in Providence, a daughter of the late Louis and Agnes B. (LaCroix) Rossi, she had lived in the city for many years, previously living in Smithfield and West Warwick.Mrs.. Russo had been a jewelry worker for various companies until she retired in 1997.Besides her husband she leaves her children John F. Russo and his wife Joanne of Richmond, and Lisa A. Lizotte and her husband Richard of West Warwick; her brother Robert R. Rossi in South Carolina; her sister Elizabeth B. Feeney of Providence, and four grandsons, Michael, Christopher, and Anthony Russo, and Richard Lizotte, Jr. She was the sister of the late Paul, Louis, Leo, and Joseph Rossi, and Doris Marshall.Her funeral will be Friday at 8am from the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 331 Smith Street, Providence. Mass of Christian at 9am in St. Edward Church, 997 Branch Avenue. Burial will be in R.I. Veterans Cemetery. Visitation Thursday 4-8pm.
