Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Addorratto (Olivo) Romano. She was the wife of the late Erasmo Ranalli.
Mother of Paula M. Boudreau and husband Ronald M, Barbara A. Alarie and husband Bruce W., Robert E. Ranalli and the late Leonora A. White; grandmother of 9;great-grandmother of 16; sister of Lorenzo Romano and the late Edith Ceprano, Carmino and Louis Romano and Cecilia Baker.
Lydia was head waitress at Lombardi’s in North Providence for many years. She volunteered at the Tri Town Food Bank and was an active member of St. Anthony Church, helping with the Outreach Ministry. Lydia also visited area nursing homes at Christmas, distributing wrapped gifts. She also volunteered at the Ward Robe in Central Falls.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, 4-7 p.m. with a funeral on Thursday at 8:15 a.m. from the PONTARELLI-MARINO Home, 971 Branch Avenue, Providence. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:15 a.m. in St. Anthony Church, 1413 Mineral Spring Avenue, North Providence. A graveside burial will follow in St. Francis Cemetery, Pawtucket.
