Kathleen Ann Keane

Providence - Kathleen A.Keane ( Keohane ) age 101, died Saturday, at Cedar Crest Nursing Center in Cranston. She was the wife of the late J. Edward Keane. Born in Providence, a daughter of the late Dennis and Mary ( Kearns ) Keohane. Mrs. Keane lived in Chicago, IL from 1940 to 1960.She was an executive secretary for the Kagan & Shawcross Insurance Agency of Providence for twenty years, and the Rhode Island Department of Elderly Affairs before retiring in 1980. She was a communicant of Saint Patrick Church in Providence for most of her life. A member of the Saint Patrick Church Friday night prayer group. She is survived by a nephew, Dennis W. Keohane and his wife Jeanne M. Thomason of Cranston, a niece Catherine M. Darigan of Pomfret Center, Ct., and several grand and great grand nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late John T. Keohane M.D.. Her funeral and visitation will be held on Tuesday at 9:00 am from the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 331 Smith Street, Providence. Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am in Saint Patrick Church, Smith St., Providence. Burial will be in Saint Joseph Cemetery, Cumberland.
