Josephine Ann Desimone

Wife of the late Rocco J. DeSimone Jr. Daughter of the late Albert and Lillian Antonuccio. Mother of; Russell G. DeSimone (Vilma), Rocco J. DeSimone III (Khristine) and Robert A. DeSimone (Kate). She also leaves eight grandchildren, three great grandchildren. Sister of; Jennie Bonaminio (Anthony), Catherine Simone (late husband Frank), Frances Charello (Bernard) and Shirley Bertolino (Paul), and many nieces and nephews.

Josephine was a loving stepmother. She was overjoyed to become a grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved baking especially for and with her grandchildren Ashley and her husband Brandon, Brandon, Corey, Kimberly, Jaclyn, Tara, Claire and June, and her great-grandchildren, Michael, Sophia and Harrison. She would adapt each recipe to make sure it included only the likes of each child, grandchild and great grandchild.

She freely shared all her recipes and would happily show you how to make your favorite cookie. Although the cookies would taste the same as hers, somehow hers always looked so much better. When you shared with her the cookies you had made, she would always tell you what a good job you did and never said a word about the ones that were a little misshapen or perhaps a little too brown.

Visitation and Funeral will be held Saturday, December 14, 2024 starting at 8:30 a.m. in the PONTARELLI-MARINO HOME, 971 Branch Avenue, Providence. Followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in St. Anthony Roman Catholic Church, 1413 Mineral Spring Avenue, North Providence.

Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
