Joseph Ralph Guglielmo

Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Joseph and Julia (D’Amelio) Guglielmo; beloved brother of Glenda J. Guglielmo and the late Lorna A. Guglielmo; cherished nephew of Caroline Berarducci. He also leaves several close cousins and many devoted friends.

After his graduation from Boston University with a B.S. in Business Administration, Joseph worked in pharmaceutical and medical sales, but later transitioned into a very successful career in the computer field. Joseph spent 20+ years working as an Information Technology Account Executive with companies including IBM, Concorde Group, FireTower, and as an independent sales and marketing consultant to the industry. He specialized in IT infrastructure during the early expansion of the internet and later in cyber security solutions protecting vital data. He was well known in the industry as “Joe G”.

Although Joseph was the youngest, he soon became “the favorite” in the family with his outgoing and larger than life personality. He was always the life of the party and lived life to the fullest. Joseph later settled in North Attleboro, Massachusetts, but traveled extensively to many exotic places in the world. He was a loving son, brother, nephew, cousin and loyal friend who will be sadly missed by many.

Visitation and funeral will be held Tuesday, 8:30-10:30 a.m. in the PONTARELLI-MARINO HOME, 971 Branch Ave, Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in St. Agnes Church, 100 Chatham Street, Providence. Burial will follow in St. Francis Cemetery, Pawtucket. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society at www.cancer.org/donate .
