Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Matthew J. and Rose V. (Boule) Murphy. She was the sister of Kathleen Murphy Cook and her husband William and the late John and James Murphy. She also was the sister-in-law of Christine Murphy; aunt of Matthew J. Cook (Melissa), William J. Murphy (Amy), Jill C. Murphy-Hungerford (David), Leanne J. DeMarco (Daniel), and Michaela K. Cook; and great-aunt of Landon and Bryce Cook, Hannah, Layla and Cameron Murphy, and Arielle, Addison, and Bailey DeMarco.

Visitation will be held Thursday at 8:30 a.m. in the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 331 Smith Street, Providence followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in St. Paul Church, 1 St. Paul Place, Cranston. Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Paul Church, 1 St. Paul Place, Cranston, RI 02905.
