Gloria Cavanaugh

Gloria E. (Larivee) Cavanuagh, 80, passed away Sunday, August 15, 2021. She was the beloved wife of the late Peter F. Cavanaugh. Born in West Warwick, she was a daughter of the late Lionel and Florence (Lemay) Larivee. She was the loving mother of Marc Dean and partner Gale Mason, Scott Dean (Gail), and Matthew Dean; stepmother of Dawn M. Cavanaugh; devoted sister of Dorothy Rogers; cherished grandmother of Douglas, Nathan, Gregory, Marisa, and Tyler; and adored great-grandmother of Faith, Hunter, and Leighton.

She loved vacationing in Aruba or just spending time at home with her beloved Dobermans. Gardening and cooking were some of her favorite hobbies and things that made her happy. She made a lasting impression on everyone that knew her and cherished her friendships with her close friends.

Visitation will be held Thursday 9:30-10:30 a.m. in the Pontarelli-Marino Home, 971 Branch Avenue, Providence followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. in the Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, 1081 Mineral Spring Ave, North Providence. Burial will follow in the Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Providence. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to Doberman Rescue Unlimited, Inc (dru.org). They are a nonprofit organization whose purpose is rescue abused, abandoned, and unwanted Dobermans and place them in safe, loving homes.
