Dorothy L. Crowell

LincolnDorothy L. Crowell, 88, of Briarwood Road, passed away Tuesday, March 13, 2018, at the Holiday Retirement Center, Lincoln. She was the beloved wife of Stephen H. Crowell, Jr for the past sixty-eight years.Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Albert and Margaret (Saulnier) Lease.Dorothy was a machine operator for Universal Optical Company and Acme Optical Company for many years before retiring. She was a faithful communicant of Saint Pius V Church.In addition to her husband, she leaves three sons, Stephen H. Crowell, III and his wife Sharon, Bruce W. Crowell and his wife Rochelle, Richard A. Crowell and his wife Hilary; a daughter, Carol A. Stormes and her husband Keith; daughter in law, Terri Crowell, wife of the late son Gilbert N. Crowell; a sister, Louise Stephenson; seven grandchildren, Stephen, Russell, Brandon, Kathryn, Alexandra, Shanlee and Sebastian; and seven great grandchildren, Dylan, Dominic, Isaac, Ethan, Olencia, Donovan and Evelyn. She was a sister of the late Elizabeth Blais and grandmother of the late Jennifer Gorton.A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, at 10:00 am, in Saint Pius V Church, Eaton Street, Providence, to which relatives and friends are invited.
