He was the beloved husband of Mary C. (Mulligan) Falls for the past fifty-seven years. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Battalion Chief William E. Falls and Catherine M. (McLellan) Falls.
Daniel served in the United States Army. He worked for 33 years and retired as Supervisor of Transportation at Narragansett Electric Company/New England Power. He also worked for the Russell J. Boyle and Son Funeral Homes for many years. He was a communicant of St. Philip Church, a member of the Irish Ceilidhe Club of RI, and a member of Comhaltas Ceoltoiri Eireann in Boston.
In addition to his wife, he leaves a son Daniel J. Falls (Nancy) and two daughters, Sheila Falls Keohane (Tim), and Michaela A. O’Shaughnessy (Jim) and ten grandchildren; Aidan, Lara and Maeve Keohane, Brendan, Molly and Megan Falls, Keegan, Kate, Jack and Nieve O’Shaughnessy. He was a brother of the late William and Edward Falls, Margaret Kells, Dorothy Machala and Nancy Falls.
His funeral will be held Monday at 9:15 a.m. from the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 331 Smith Street, Providence with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. in St. Philip Church, 622 Putnam Pike, Greenville. Burial with military honors will follow in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Visiting hours Sunday, 3-6 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Saint Vincent de Paul Food Pantry at Saint Philip Church.
