Benito "Benny" Lanni

He was the beloved husband for 57 years to Maria "Mama" (Cambio) Lanni. Born in Prata Sannita, Provincia di Caserta, Italy. He was the son of the late Pasquale and Carolina (Martinelli) Lanni.

Benito immigrated to the United States in 1971 with his wife Maria and young daughter Carolina.

He worked for Cranston Print Works for many years and was a member of local 271 laborers union before retiring.

Benito was a founding member of the Santa Maria di Prata Society in Cranston and enjoyed spending many nights playing cards with fellow members.

He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren teaching them to plant a garden, make homemade wine and sausage and sitting around the table eating nonna's famous dishes.

He was the loving father of Carolina Nasisi (Louis Manfredo) and Antonio “Tony” Lanni (Melanie); cherished nonno of Mariano Nasisi (Adriana), Philip Nasisi, Sonya Lanni, Anthony Lanni; Brother of Carmelina Nardolillo, Antonio Lanni, Carmine Lanni, Anacleto Lanni and the late Domenico Lanni. He is also survived many nieces and nephews.

His funeral will be held Friday, May 19, 2023 at 10:00am from the Pontarelli-Marino Home, 971 Branch Ave, Providence followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00am in St. Anthony Church, 1413 Mineral Spring Ave, North Providence. Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.

Visiting hours are Thursday, May 18, 2023 from 4:00pm-7:00pm
