Born April 22, 1930 in Matoaka, WV, Christine was the daughter of the late Elmore C. Lawson, Sr. and Mary K. (Pennington) Lawson. She was a seamstress/homemaker and member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Bluefield, WV, where she had been a faithful servant of Jehovah for over 60 years.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband, William Curtis Neal, son, Richard Balford Musick, brother, Albert Whitley Lawson and sisters, Judy Delores Lawson, Mildred Bernice Lawrence and Sylvia Ann Brooks.
Left to cherish her memory are daughters Angela Musick Gills and husband Randall of Glenwood, WV, Linda Musick Akers and husband Mark of Tazewell, VA and Cynthia Neal Tomlinson of Bluefield, VA. Survived by step-daughters Jo Ann Armstrong of Rocky Gap, VA, Sandra Boydston of Lynchburg, VA, Letha Moore and husband Danny of Lynchburg, VA and Rebecca Mitchell and husband Freeman of Bluefield, VA. Brother, Elmore Crockett Lawson, Jr. of Marshville, NC , 14 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great- grandchildren including Sophie who is due to arrive in November. She is also survived by countless spiritual brothers and sisters.
Funeral services for Christine Neal will be held on Saturday, September 8, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home Chapel, 450 Courthouse Rd., Princeton, WV with Ministers Larry McClintock and George Sims officiating. Friends may call from 1:00-2:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
