Sandy is also survived by her father Jim Heyland; brother Russ Heyland and sister Cheryl Hicks and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother, Gloria Heyland (2005).
Spending 40 years as a 911 dispatcher, Sandy was known for her true kindness to all she worked with and her passion as a trainer. She was a knowledgeable and supportive supervisor and always remained calm even under immense pressure. Outside of her successful career, Sandy’s hobbies included camping (she loved singing and laughing around the fire), crafting, woodworking, sewing and crocheting. Her crafts and keepsakes will forever be cherished by her loved ones. Sandy loved her Grandchildren and they brought her great joy.
Her legacy will live on in the hearts and minds of everyone she interacted with and loved.
