Lucille is survived by her husband and companion of 71 years, Kim Reynolds, her children Russell Reynolds (Lila), Tom Reynolds, Debra MacArthur, Barbara Pocock (Greg), her grandchildren Jenna Pocock, Elizabeth MacArthur, Allison Pocock (Dana Jepson), Bradly Pocock (Maddison), Mary Katherine Caughlan, and five great-grandchildren.
Mom put family first and cooking and baking second. She loved sewing and knitting while her hands allowed, and adored her grandchildren. She championed times tables, reading, and Canada’s Food Guide. She was passionate, animated, funny, and laughed to tears – sometimes all at the same time, and often in the presence of her Woodward’s coffee group friends. In the day, she was the Mom that picked up teenage hitchhikers, prefaced by “don’t tell your Dad”. Her smile was warm and loving and she will be sadly missed.
Grandma was the light in the room and she laughed at our jokes whether they were funny or not. She truly had the biggest heart and will be remembered for her love, light-hearted laughter, and over-supply of wine gums and candies. Grandma has a piece of our hearts; she will be dearly missed and never forgotten.
Lucille and Kim were married on September 24, 1952. Kim is 96. They held hands to the very end.
Thank you to the staff at Gateway Lodge for making Lucille comfortable during the final days of her journey.
