Dylon was born on August 11, 1993 in Prince George, BC to David and Tina (Allen) Shields. He grew up on the family farm in Salmon Valley, alongside his younger brother, Dyson.
As a kid, Dylon was an avid hockey player who loved cheering on the Vancouver Canucks and attending Spruce Kings games with his grandma. He spent much of his time playing video games, dirt biking around the farm, and enjoying all that Salmon Valley life had to offer. An animal lover, Dylon was always quick to cuddle his cats and give the best belly scratches to his dogs. When he wasn’t peddling his bike around the Valley to meet up with his friends and cousins, Dylon thoroughly enjoyed fishing with his grandpa. Into adulthood, Dylon continued to enjoy all things hockey, spending time with his family and pets, and reminiscing about the memories made during a childhood shared with his brother, many cousins, and friends.
Dylon spent a lot of his time around his friends and loved ones. Not a moment would go by without knowing he was around as he would bring laughter and cheer to all. Dylon will be remembered for his infectious laugh and willingness to lend a helping hand. His desire to better himself and those around him made him a role model to many and he will continue to inspire those he has left behind. Dylon will be greatly missed by his parents, brother, grandmother, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
