Dorothy Evelyn Simon: (Dorothy Olsen Anderson), formerly from Kipling / Sudbury ONT, passed away peacefully in her 91st year on the morning of May 4, 2016 at Rainbow Lodge, Prince George. Dorothy is survived by her son Ron Anderson (Donna) of Nepean, ONT; and daughters Lila Reynolds (Russell) of Ness Lake; Lyn Linton (David) of Campbellford, ONT and Eileen Roesch (John) of Prince George. Also survived by 7 grandchildren - Tricia (Kelly); Brent (Sue); Bryan (Wendy); Geoff (Jenna); Christopher (Abbey); Jason (Brooke) and Kevin (Tanya). 3 Great Grandchildren, Emily, Rebecca and Megan. Siblings, Don (Shirley), Les (Jean), Francis, Fay, Garry (Pam) and Raymond (Viv), and numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by husband Pius (Sy) Simon, her parents Ernie and Ivy Olsen, brother Albert, sister-in-law Patricia, brothers-in-law Nick, Hugh and Murray.

Service will be held at First Memorial Funeral Services Lakewood Chapel, 1055 Ospika Blvd, Prince George, BC V2M 3R7 on Wednesday, May 11, 2016 at 1:00 P.M. followed by a graveside service at Prince George Cemetery. Reception will be held at Elder Citizens Recreation Association, 1692 – 10th Ave 3:15 PM to 5:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to a charity of your choosing in our Mother’s honor.

Prior to her retirement, Dorothy owned and operated the successful Jack & Jill Daycare for well in excess of 15 years. The children who were cared for there were loved and considered as much a part of her family as anyone.

The family wishes to express our deepest appreciation to the staff at Rainbow Lodge who so lovingly cared for our Mother over the past four years. We are so grateful to each of you for the many kindnesses you extended her.

“Someday, when fades the golden sun

Beneath the rosy tinted west

My blessed Lord will say, “Well done!”

And I shall enter into rest.”

Well done indeed Mom, we will miss you.
