Peggy loved others well. She expressed her love in servitude. Peggy served as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, friend, and aunt. As a charter member of Glynwood Baptist Church, Peggy served her church family in many ways; some known and some unknown. She served her community by volunteering at Grace Place Pregnancy Center, the Prattville Library as a story time reader, the Autauga Christmas Team, and, prior to being diagnosed with CLL, The Prattville Cancer Center. Peggy retired from the Federal Civil Service’s Office of Personnel Management as a GS12 after a 36-year career. Peggy was a blessing to all who knew her. At all times, Peggy loved and served her Lord and Savior Jesus.
Peggy is survived by her three sons Richard (Anita) Greenlee, Bob (David Renaker) Greenlee, and Randy (Kandy) Greenlee; and daughter Rhonda (Tracy) Rawls. Gran is also survived by grandchildren Misty Bone, John (Lacy) McClain, Kelsi Greenlee, Rachel (Taylor) Baxter, Steven Greenlee, Alexis Rawls, and Mikayla Rawls; and was greatGran to Katie, Anna, and Levi Bone, Easton and Evan McClain, and Flynn Baxter. Peggy is also survived by her brother Harold Eugene Styes, and a host of very special nieces and nephews.
Peggy was preceded into heaven by her parents Virgil Tucker Styes and Mary Etta Burns Styes of Epes, AL. Peggy has now joined her husband of 42 years, Richard M “Dick” Greenlee. She is also preceded by brothers, Billy Styes, Charlie Styes, James Styes, and Leon Styes; and sisters, Julia Robertson, Darriah Channell, Geraldine Styes, and Bernice Greenlee.
Pallbearers are Monty Channell, Mike Greenlee, Bill Jones, BJ Jones, Don Styes, and David Renaker. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Peggy’s beloved Glynwood Baptist Church Building Fund (376 McQueen Smith Rd N; Prattville, AL 36066)
