James W. Bonds, 89, passed away November 4, 2024. He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty J. Bonds; parents, Lena and JK Bonds; siblings, Eloise Strickland, William Bonds, Betty Robertson, Margaret Gilmore. He is survived by his daughter, Janet Sembach (David) and his son, John E. Bonds; grandchildren, Matthew W. Defee, Dr. Ashley N. Sembach, Jennifer A. Nelson, and Bradley J. Sembach; siblings, Faye Youngblood (Joe), Linda Peterson, Judy Clanton all of Auburn. He is also survived by his nephews, Tim Youngblood, Tom Youngblood, Josh Clanton, Ben Bonds, Jonathan Gilmore and Joel Robertson and his niece, Kathy Smith and a host of great nieces and nephews
Mr. Bonds served his country in the US Air Force. He also loved music but more than anything he loved his family, especially his grandchildren.
A visitation for James will be held Wednesday, November 13, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Ridout's-Brown-Service Prattville, 347 East Main Street, Prattville, AL 36067. A funeral service will occur Wednesday, November 13, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Ridout's-Brown-Service Prattville Chapel, 347 E Main St, Prattville, Alabama 36067. A burial will occur Wednesday, November 13, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Alabama National Cemetery, 3133 Hwy 119, Montevallo, AL 35115.
