Charles Earnest Walters

Charles Earnest Walters Sr., 78, of Prattville, passed away peacefully on November 9, 2022. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Dorothy Walters; sister, Ruby Megargel; former wife, Alice Bass and daughter Charlene (Denise) Strickland. He is survived by his daughter Tuesday Wingard (John); son, Charles Walters Jr. (Brenda) and son in law, Marty Strickland; grandchildren, Keith, Lindsey, Brittany, Dillon, Stephen and Jesse. He is also survived by 8 great grandchildren.

He was known by his friends as “Country”. He enjoyed being outdoors, fishing, hunting, camping and going to Civil War Reenactments with his family. When he wasn’t outdoors he could be found enjoying western movies. He loved his family, especially his grandchildren. They will miss their Papa.

Services for Mr. Walters will be Monday, November 14, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Ridouts Prattville Chapel with the visitation one hour prior. Burial will follow at Prattville Memory Gardens. Pallbearers will be John Wingard, Keith Wingard, Michael Duncan, Kevin Carr, Marty Strickland, Dillon Strickland, Brother Johnathan and James Campbell. His son in law, John Wingard will officiate the service.
