Barbara graduated Salutatorian from Cedar Grove High School in Cedar Grove, West Virgina. She continued her education at West Virginia Technical College where she majored in History. She was a dedicated member of Marbury Baptist Church for many years, where she taught Sunday school, lead the WMU, and was song leader for many years.
She loved being with her family, reading, doing crossword puzzles, Bible study, watching Auburn football, and listening to gospel music.
Over 20 years ago she began her greatest passion, her card ministry, by sending cards out to family and loved ones that she had addresses for. The ministry grew from there. Every time she met someone new someone else was added to the list. She never missed sending a birthday, anniversary, condolence, get-well, thinking of you, or Christmas card.
