Stanley was born July 1, 1923 in Avon, New York, the son of the late, Fred and Elizabeth (Clayman) Price. Stanley lived in Prattsburgh most of his life. He played country music, owned and operated his own auto body and mechanic shop. He was also the past highway superintendent for the Town of Wheeler. He enjoyed his family, traveling, playing music, hunting and fishing.
Stanley is survived by his wife of 52 years, Lucille (Socola) Price; his children, Fred (Lori) Price, Patti (Frank Prouty) Ryan; sons in law, Bob Caccamise and Bob Page; grandchildren, Christopher Price, James Price, Hunter Price, Hailey (Richard Graham) Price, Audra (Mike) Cook, Kristeen (Travis) Huffman, Jared (Danielle) Ryan, Josh (Roz) Ryan, Candice Matteson, Michael Matteson, Bobby Page, Glen Page, and Tambra Bittle; several great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his daughters, Donna Caccamise and Gail Page; and his four siblings, Helen Price, Gene Price, Mary Hotchkiss, and Bob Price.
Friends and family may call from 4 to 6 pm on Wednesday, Sept. 9th at Bottoni Wood Funeral Home in Prattsburgh, where his funeral service will follow at 6pm with the Rev. Kathy Dye officiating. Committal prayers will be offered at St. Patrick’s Cemetery in Prattsburgh on Thursday, Sept. 10th at 10am. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in his memory to the Prattsburgh Fire Dept., 15 Allis St., Prattsburgh, NY 14873.
