Mr. Richard L. Moulton Sr., age 69 of Parishville, NY passed away suddenly on May 7th at the Canton Potsdam Hospital. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, May 11th at 10:30 am at the Garner Funeral Service with Rev. Lee Sweeney celebrant. Burial will follow the service at the Chapel Hill Cemetery in Parishville, NY. Friends may call at the Garner Funeral Service on Wednesday the 10th from 3-5 and 6-9pm. Contributions in his memory can be made to the Parishville Volunteer Fire Dept. or the Parishville Volunteer Rescue Squad.
Richard is survived by his wife Phyllis Stoddard Moulton; son Richard L. (Cara) Moulton Jr.; daughter Sheri (John) Lazarus; grandchildren Aubrey Nicole, John M. Lazarus Jr., Joseph B. and Augustia Marie, Richard L. III, Clayton L. Moulton; great grandchildren Jaxon M. Lazarus and Serenity Grace Lynn Moulton; brothers Clayton B. Jr., Philip (Carol), Ronnie, Ernest (Debbie), Terry Moulton; sisters Babe (Ed) St. Thomas, Donna (Everett) DeShane, Eva (Roland) Richards, Gloria (Norman) Foley, Joan (Terry) Baker, Connie (Leo) Sawyer, Penny (Loren) Wylie, Linda (Phillip) Travers and several nieces and nephews and extended family. He is predeceased by his sister Brenda Lee Moulton and his parents.
Richard was born on October 25, 1947 in Potsdam, NY to the late Clayton Moulton Sr. and Ethel Jesmer. He attended Parishville Hopkinton Central Schools. On January 4, 1969 he was married to Phyllis Stoddard. He was a sawyer for many years, a newspaper carrier and then worked for many years for the Town of Parishville for the transfer station. He enjoyed camping, soap operas, time with his family, the Price is Right and Let’s Make A Deal. He loved his dog Precious. He was a long time member of the Parishville Volunteer Fire Dept.
