slipper factory for many years, followed by a career as a home health aide helping others.
Elaine and Howard have four children, Wayne (Laura) LaVare of Malone, Howard (Joleen)
LaVare Jr of Dickinson Center, Bridget (Dean) Martin of Moira, and Dawn (Patrick) Reardon of
Saint Regis Falls. Elaine was blessed with nine grandchildren; Michael LaVare, Emily Martin,
Meagan (John) Cooper, Kyle LaVare, Brandon LaVare, Tyler LaVare, Jacob Reardon, Madison
(Anthony) Premo, Autumn Boardway.
She was additionally blessed to have had 11 great grandchildren that she absolutely loved and

and Brycen LaVare, Colton LaVare, and Zayne Carr.
Elaine is survived by her husband, Howard LaVare Sr., her brothers; Tim Bush, Kim Bush, and
Thomas (Sherri) Bush, and a sister in law, Judy Bush. She is predeceased by one brother,
Marshall Bush, and two sisters, Eileen Sullivan and Valora Waite, and stepson Ronald

Elaine was all about her family. She absolutely loved it when she got to see her grandchildren
and great grandchildren. She enjoyed putting puzzles together, going for a ride, watching all of
her birds outside of her window, and lately, lots of online shopping. She enjoyed playing Skipbo
with her grandchildren (even though they were sure she would cheat). Her grandkids will always
cherish their memories of their visits and playing cards with her.
Elaine was also blessed with a wonderful aid, Renai, who always looked out for her and became
good friends with her.
The family would like to give a special thank you to the Saint Regis Falls rescue squad for
always showing kindness and compassion for Elaine when she needed them.
