William, whom most knew as Bill, was born to George and Louise Pratt (nee Jeckel) on June 14th, 1937, in Los Angeles, California. After graduating from Glendale High School, he obtained an undergraduate and dental degree from The University of Southern California.
He married Peggy Ann Weyman, whom he met in junior high school, on June 18, 1959. During the early years of their marriage, they lived in France, where Bill was stationed with the United States Air Force. Following the completion of his military service, he established a dental practice in Puyallup, Washington.
Bill was an avid outdoor sportsman, enjoying God's creation with family and friends. He enjoyed snow skiing into his 80’s.
After retiring, he and Peggy travelled the world as medical missionaries, with an outreach facilitated through dentistry. They went on over 80 missionary trips, spanning over a 20 year period.
Throughout his practice of dentistry, and in retirement, Bill never ceased to be an amazing Christian. His selfless love and compassion for others, in addition to his warm personality and brilliant sense of humor, touched the hearts and souls of countless individuals throughout his 85 years upon this earth. Everyone who met Bill always appreciated the balance of mission, truth, and grace with which he carried himself. His conviction and dedication to the Lord was unquestioned, but his gentleness of spirit will be what will always be remembered.
Bill was predeceased by his parents George and Louise, and sister Donna (Broderick). He is survived by his brother Steven and wife Gunilla, his son David and wife Cheryl, and his son Michael and wife Erika. He is also survived by his many grandchildren and extended family.
His Memorial Service/Celebration of Life Ceremony date is yet to be determined, but family and friends will be notified.
