Sook Hee Park

Sook was born on November 3, 1946 to Jungho Lee and Soonyim Kim in Naju, South Korea. After graduating from Gwangju Girls High School, she went on to study and graduated from Sookmyung Women’s University.

After graduation, she married Dr. Jae Park on February 6, 1972. They eventually moved to the United States on November 14, 1973 so Dr. Park could complete his medical internship and residency in Perth Amboy, New Jersey and Detroit, Michigan. They eventually settled in Oregon. They had 3 children: Kye, Eugene, and Andy.

Sook enjoyed cooking, golfing, sewing, gardening, drawing, painting, and ceramics.

She was very devoted to the church her whole life and was elected to Kwonsa in 2012.

Sook was the youngest of four sisters and one brother.

Sook is survived by her husband, Dr. Jae Park, her sons, Kye (Shannon) Park, Eugene (Katherine) Park, and Andy (Amanda) Park, and her grandchildren, Taylor and Tayson.

A funeral service for Sook will be held Saturday, July 15, 2023 at 10:30 AM at Finley-Sunset Hills Mortuary, 6801 SW Sunset Hwy, Portland, OR 97225.

Following the funeral service will be a graveside service at 12:00 PM at Sunset Hills Memorial Park, 6801 SW Sunset Hwy, Portland, OR 97225 in the Garden of La Cresta.
