Richard Raymond Arnold

Richard Raymond Arnold was born March 12,1954 to Lois Crevello and Jack Arnold. He was the third of four boys, John Arnold and Anthony Arnold, and followed by his younger brother Michael Arnold. Lois and Jack both remarried, having several siblings join the boys, Victoria Arnold, William Arnold, Mary Arnold, Al Plemmons, and Randy Plemmons.

Despite what can best be described as a difficult early childhood, Rick and his brothers, John, Tony, and Mike engaged in mischief and adventures that have become the stuff of family lore. From horseback riding accidents to manure fights, to Rick nearly being crushed by a large boulder, the boys engaged in creative, although dangerous ways to entertain themselves, with Rick somehow always sustaining the worst of the injuries.

May 31, 1972, Rick made what he cited as a life changing decision to join the United States Army. He credited his time served for teaching him lessons that he would keep for the rest of his life. Honor, respect, pride in his work, and honoring commitments. He was forever grateful and often said the older he became the more he saw how much those years changed his life for the better.

46 years ago, on June 14th, 1978, his life was again forever changed when he walked into his brother Tony's birthday party and saw what he described as the most beautiful girl he had ever seen sitting on the couch. Susan Warneke became his wife 11 months later, May 12, 1979. They enjoyed 44 years of marriage. Rick and Sue have two children, Amy with husband Alejandro (Alex), and Nicholas with wife Courtney. Altogether Rick has four grandchildren, Anaelle Rose Garcia, Axel Josef Garcia, McKenna Marie Arnold, and Kasen Cole Arnold.

Rick's life was a testament to resilience and the miracle of breaking generational patterns. Rick will be forever remembered for his love and loyalty to his family and friends, his passion for classic cars and trucks, and of course his regular visits to casinos. Rick was predeceased by his brothers John and Tony, and we can only hope that they are not causing too much trouble together up there, and that the slot machines pay off as well.
