Patricia Dugan Anderson

A native of Akron, Ohio, Mrs. Anderson attended Stowe High School in Stowe, Ohio, Mercyhurst College in Erie, Pennsylvania, and graduated from Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio. She taught elementary school in Akron, Ohio and joined TWA as a flight attendant in 1956.

Mrs. Anderson was a longtime resident of Fair Haven, New Jersey and attended The Church of Nativity, Fair Haven. She was a member of the of the Jr. League of Monmouth County and the Women’s Exchange of Little Silver, serving as President for four years. Mrs. Anderson was a member of the Rumson Country Club, the Seabright Beach Club, and Seabright Lawn Tennis and Cricket Club. Mrs. Anderson will be remembered as a kind, generous woman who cherished her family, home and friends.

Mrs. Anderson was married to W. Alden Anderson, Jr. for 49 years. She is survived by her son, Jeffrey Pierce and his wife Lynn; a daughter, Christen Marie and her husband Thomas Abernethy; and four grandchildren, Carsen Elizabeth, Michael Pierce, and Reilly Christina Anderson and Garrett Gaelen Abernethy.

There will be a private internment service. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to the charity of your choice.
