Mary Catherine Hess

Mary attended Mercy High School in Milwaukee and then the St. Mary School of Nursing to become a registered nurse. She married Henry Hess on November 29, 1958. The couple lived in Honolulu, Hawaii from 1958-1960 prior to moving to Oregon in 1965. Mary was a member of St. Peter Catholic Daughters and American Legion Auxiliary 158 and was also a member of The Beat Goes On Marching Band.

Mary is survived by her husband, Henry; her daughters and sons-in-laws Linda and Tom Vondrachek of Newberg, Ore., Karen and Tim Wood of Nampa, Idaho, Joan and Emil Riemer of Brush Prairie, Wash., and Susie and Mike Weber of Dallas, Ore.; brother and sister-in-law Tom and Barbara Langenohl of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; 7 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandsons; nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; and brother Francis Langenohl.

A mass will be held on August 8, 2023 at 10am at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 375 NE Clackamas St., Portland, OR 97232.
