She passed peacefully at home, in the care of her daughter Donna. She was surrounded by her loved ones, and companion pets.
Margaret was born in Denver, Colorado to Albert and Edith Jensen. She was the youngest out of 3 children, following her 2 siblings, Opal Jensen and Harold Jensen. Margaret spent most of her young adult years in the Portland, Oregon area and her older adult years in Longview, Washington.
Margaret was a member of the early Ford V8 Club of America. This is where she met the love of her life, Alan Darr. They were married on January 2nd of 2004. Margaret and Alan travelled often, participating in car shows and car events, winning many awards, and cherishing friendships they made over the years. Margaret had many other hobbies other than the V8 Car Club, including sewing and collecting American Character Dolls. Margaret was also an avid animal lover. She especially had a passion for cats and had many cat companions throughout her life.
Margaret was preceded in death by her father Albert Jensen, mother Edith Jensen, Sister Opal, and brother Harold. Her husband, Alan Darr, passed away on 12/23/2016. Margaret is survived by her only, child Donna Riddle, Grandchildren Ron Langston, Christy Smith and Dennis Smith, and eight Great-Grandchildren.
A visitation for Margaret will be held Friday, July 5, 2024 at 12:30 PM in the Great Hall at Finley Sunset Hills Mortuary, 6801 SW Sunset Hwy, Portland, OR 97225, followed by a funeral service at 1:00 PM.
A cryptside service will follow at 2:00 PM in the LEA section of the Mausoleum at Finley Sunset Hills Memorial Park. A procession will leave from the mortuary following the funeral service.
