Kenneth Lamar Herring

Kenneth L. Herring, age 58, of Portland Oregon passed away on June 21, 2021. He was born in Portland, Oregon on March 26, 1963. Ken graduated from Roosevelt High School and received an Associate Degree in Culinary Arts from Portland Community College. He was not married and did not have children.

After a brief time in the culinary field, he worked the majority of his career for the Portland Public School District as a Custodian for many of the different schools in the region. The teachers, staff workers, and students loved the work he did and his friendly disposition while he kept their school clean and functioning the way it should.

Ken loved fishing, watching old funny TV shows such as MASH and Get Smart and spending time at the beach. He loved traveling to Hawaii and if he couldn't get to Hawaii, he was just as happy at the Oregon Coast.  He also loved all holidays and getting together with his family.

Ken is survived by his brother Bruce Herring, sister Michelle (Herring) Albert, nieces Jami (Herring) Sheets and Jennifer Albert, and nephews Casey Herring and Jim Albert.

Funeral arrangements will be held at 12:00 PM on October 31, 2021 at Lincoln Memorial Park
