Henry Dante Phillips passed away on August 1, 2011 at Crystal Springs Adult Family Care. Henry was born on May 25, 1915 to John and Sofia Phillips in Portland Oregon. John attended Ainsworth Grammar School and graduated from Benson Polytechnic School in 1935. After school henry went right to work for Union Pacific Railroad. At working for a while he decided to join The US Army where he served in WWII as a Staff Sergent being Honorably discharged on January 13, 1946 at Ft Lewis Washington.
After the service, Henry went back to work for Union Pacific as an apprentice working his way up to a Commodity Inspector and Loading Inspector. On Sept 2, 1975, Henry retired as a Car Inspector.
Henry was a member of St Peters Catholic Church when he passed away. In the past he was at St Anthony Parrish in Waldport Oregon, On May 25, 1948, Henry married Rosemary katherine Fahey and to this union a daughter was born,
Henry is survived by his wife, Rosemary Phillips of Happy Valley, Oregon and daughter Debra Anderson of Portland, Oregon, 2 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
The family will have a private burial at Willamette National Cemetery.
